Amazon customers leave hilarious reviews for masher which looks like sex toy

Amazon customers are leaving hilarious reviews on an innocent kitchen utensil because they believe it looks like a sex toy.

The Kraken Masher has been shared all over Facebook this week as shoppers compare the item designed to mash potatoes to an item that's designed for self-pleasure.

It would appear many people seem to think the red Kraken Squid Themed Plastic Potato Masher resembles a sex toy due to its smooth rounded handle – and the reviews being left on it are hysterical.

Some users posted questions like "Can I use it in the bedroom?" and did not hold back.

Kev T said: "I bought one for the wife. She was inspired to come up with a new thing…mixing fresh herbs with her mash. Little bit of oil to get things going and bingo!

"She called it 'mashed-herbation'. This is a manual product so after she's used it for mashed-herbation she is a little flushed and breathless…but always happy with the results. 10/10!"

Kernow said: "With enough willpower and lube, anything can be a bedroom toy."

Jason C said: "Why not multitask, use it for bedroom purposes and mash potatoes at the same time. Use butter as a lubricant, it will melt and give you lovely buttery mash."

Some reviewers even came to the Amazon page just to find out what the £11.99 product really was as there seemed to be some confusion.

Victoria said: "I apprehensively clicked on the advert on Facebook because I couldn't figure out what it was, I was sure that Amazon wasn't selling 'that' sort of product so openly.

"I was a little relieved when I figured out what it was."

Earlier today, it was revealed the storage ship blocking the Suez Canal is causing sexual frustrations as it delays a huge shipment of sex toys from reaching the Netherlands.

The Ever Given has caused a tailback of more than 100 boats after breaking down and running ashore.

The Suez Canal, which is 120 miles long, is one of the world's most important shipping lanes, but has been gridlocked for days.

Among the cargo ships waiting to get through is a shipment of 20 containers packed with "dildos, vibrators and male masturbators" that is intended for customers of EDC Retail.

The Dutch company, which is behind one of the biggest online sex toy shops in the Netherlands and Belgium, has said it's "annoying" that its products are being blocked, predicting that it's currently losing millions by being unable to replenish stocks.

The company is said to be in need of a restock after the successful sales of Christmas and Valentine's Day but it's "not possible" because of the blockade.

CEO of EDC Retail, Evertine Magerman, told Dutch news outlet RTV Noord: "There are more than 20 containers full of well-running items, such as vibrators, dildos and male masturbators.

"A lot of these products were sold for Christmas and Valentine's Day, for example. There is now an extra lot on the way to restore stocks. But that is not possible now.

"It is annoying that such a hitch will continue for a long time before the rhythm in the transport chain is restored."
