A man reportedly kept his dead girlfriend in a plastic container in a warped bid "to remain close to her".
Daniel Blas Torrealba, 21, and his brother were arrested in Phoenix, Arizona, found the decomposing remains of his lover Destiny Munoz, 17.
Police said she as wrapped in plastic and tape in the container, the New York Post reports.
Torrealba and his brother Edwin Chavez-Blas, 19, are now accused of covering up Destiny's death with a plan to cut her into pieces with a chainsaw and bury her, according to the court records.
The victim was killed by a gunshot but her boyfriend claims she shot herself during an argument.
Destiny was also the mother of his one-year-old child. Both brothers have been charged with concealment of a body and evidence tampering.
The brothers allegedly stuffed Destiny into the container, which reportedly reeked with "a strong odour of decomposing matter" when the body was found on October 5.
After she was dead, Torrealba texted her family using her phone so they "would not worry about her".
