Brazilian model strangled with belt in LA before corpse dumped 1,000 miles away

Murder detectives are searching for the body of a Brazilian model after CCTV footage showed her bloodied corpse being stuffed into a car.

Ana Braga, 24, vanished from her home in Los Angeles last month – before being strangled with a belt and electrical cord by two men.

A car registered in her name was found abandoned 1,000 miles away in Oklahoma.

The last person to speak to her was her mum, during a telephone call on January 28.

Police in California said they had surveillance footage, which showed her bloodied corpse lying face-down with a belt and cord around her neck.

A hunt for her body was launched after officers used GPS technology to find her car.

Authorities in Oklahoma say that CCTV footage from February shows two men ditching the car before getting into a ‘green minivan.’

Mum Dema Felix said: ‘I want them to find her body and I want them to bring her body back to Brazil.

“I want to find my daughter because I want to do her funeral and I’m not in the condition to do all that.

“I feel like trash, I feel like I’m nobody. She was the only one who helped me with everything.”

Pal Timothy O’Brien added: “I just try to go back and kinda think who could have done this.”

Braga moved to Los Angeles from her native Brazil in 2019 to pursue a career as a model.

She worked part-time as an Uber driver.
