Paramedics raced to the Hotel Bellver in the island capital Palma around 9.30am yesterday but could do nothing to save her. Police are probing the 35-year-old’s death.
Local reports said the unnamed tourist had plunged from a sixth-floor window at the four-star hotel on the seafront promenade.
Police said: “An investigation has been launched into the death of a British woman at a hotel in Palma this morning.”
The force’s homicide unit has been tasked with the probe.
Although the hotel overlooks the seafront promenade, the woman fell from a window at the back of the building.
She was reportedly staying at the hotel with her partner.
Last month a 48-year-old British woman died after falling from another hotel in Palma.
