Cats filmed fighting over absolutely nothing and Reddit viewers love it

Cats are known for their unpredictable nature and nothing has shown that more than a video of two felines going at it – for absolutely no reason.

The clip, which has been viewed more than 8,800 times on Reddit, captures a ginger tabby resting on the floor and suddenly gazing at the paper box in front of a cupboard.

It notices another cat hiding in the box and decides to make a quiet move towards the box.

The feline maintains its posture while waiting for the white cat to emerge from its hiding spot.

When it does, the ginger pounces and puts up its front legs for a fight.

The two cats begin going at it like boxers as both of them pound on each other's head.

The fight lasts just five seconds before the white cat jumps out of the box and scurries away.

And it has proven a huge hit since being posted to Reddit by u/cyXie with the caption: "A fight literally over nothing."

Viewers flocked to the comments section to voice their thoughts, with one writing: "I love how the cat in the box knew what was coming before actually seeing the other cat."

Others said the fight has given a whole meaning to "boxing".

"The winner takes control of the box!" another one joked.

The unpredictable moves of felines have always astonished pet lovers as one cat was filmed "freaking out" when his owner chucked a ball to him.

The cat’s hind legs started going into overdrive and began scratching at the ball, with the viewers convinced that the creature was "broken".
