Denver International Airport’s train breaks down, delays causing passengers to miss flights

Trains headed to Denver International Airport are experiencing major delays after crews work on emergency repairs Friday morning.

Because of the emergency repairs, trains are running at reduced compacity.

DIA asked passengers to use A-Bridge security to get over to A Gates as an alternate to the train. The strategy did not work for some as passengers complained of missed flights and packed train cars on social media.

DIA is now asking passengers to get to the airport an extra hour early.

One person pointed out that their flight actually departed early and airlines were not waiting because of the delays.

Another person missed their flight.

DIA officials have not said when the trains will catch up to speed after the repairs.
