A cheeky dog has become an internet sensation after appearing to mock his corgi pal’s short legs.
Dustin, a Jack Russell and pug crossbreed, has built up quite the friendship with Tayto since they were brought together by owner Ailish.
But one particular video has given the pair a spot on the hall of viral superstardom.
The clip shows three-year-old Dustin following behind Tayto, two, in the corridor of their owner Ailish Ryan’s home in Sydney, Australia.
With a mischievous look in his eyes, Dustin crawls on his front belly seemingly thinking he hasn’t been spotted.
But when Tayto flashes him a glance, the pair have a hilarious stand-off.
The Jack Russell mix then carries on and walks out of the room.
Originally shared on Instagram on February 22, the video has since been seen more than 6million times after being posted to Twitter.
Thousands of viewers were convinced the smaller dog was mocking his friend's smaller legs.
One wrote: “This dog is mocking the way his corgi friend walks.”
Another imitated Dustin, saying: “‘Look at me, I’m a Corgi! I have short legs and look like this when I walk’.”
But, in an exclusive chat with Daily Star Online, Ailish believes all wasn’t as it seemed.
“I’ve seen that a lot of people think Dusty is mocking Tayto and his little stumpy legs which I find so funny!” she said.
“It really does look like that, particularly in that video.
“Sorry to burst anyone's bubble but I don’t think Dusty is smart enough to think like that, and he really is just giving his belly a scratch and reacted to Tayto interrupting his scooting with a bark.”
The 24-year-old said the pair have funny interactions every day.
“They’re definitely an odd coupling of dogs,” she continued. “Dusty is cheeky and affectionate and Tayto is aloof but also loving in his own special way.”
Speaking on her video going viral, she added: “It is pretty wild how much it has blown up! I’m glad people are enjoying Dusty and Tayto as much as I do every day!”
