The owner of a lingerie shop was caught on video fighting off a robber armed with a gun to protect her day's takings – worth just £5.
In the clip, recorded in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, the robber walks in and forcefully moves the counter back, apparently demanding the money in the till.
But the plucky shop owner argues with him, even when he gets his gun out and pushes her face-first over the counter.
He grabs her hair and the pair appear to be locked in a tussle, but she somehow manages to move the gunman towards the door.
Meanwhile, she bravely tries to pull the gun from out of his hands.
The gunman and woman bash into display shelves while still fighting and the robber seems to make the decision to run away.
Once outside the store, the man struggles with the woman on the pavement, while she clings to his legs on the floor.
He manages to shake her off and runs away, empty-handed.
The dramatic incident took place in the city of Ensenada when the lingerie shop was about to shut.
Karina Alach, the 46-year-old shop owner, was closing for the day when the gunman entered with his face covered, local newspaper Infobae reports.
Karina told Telefe Noticias that the man demanded the day’s takings from the till, only around 500 ARS (£5).
She said: “At that moment, he grabbed me and tried to throw me on the floor.
"That’s when I saw the weapon.
"I tried to take it from him, it was the only thing that crossed my mind in those seconds.”
According to Karina, around 15 people gathered outside the shop after the incident, with some calling the emergency services for help.
Karina said that she decided not to report the robbery attempt, despite the apparent threat to her life.
“I felt it was not worth it," she said.
Karina added: “The important thing is that I nearly lost my life for 500 ARS (5 GBP)!”
