Elitch Gardens cancels Fourth of July fireworks show – The Denver Post

Elitch Gardens will not be shooting off fireworks on Sunday for Independence Day. Citing short staff, the amusement park said they were forced to cancel the show but will still open on the holiday.

“Due to the park’s modified summertime operating hours made necessary by the area’s reduced available workforce, we must cancel the planned 4th of July fireworks show this season,” Elitch’s posted on their Facebook page. “The park will still open at 10:30 a.m. for a full day of theme and water park fun for our guests to enjoy the Fourth with their family and friends.”

The Colorado Rockies will be hosting fireworks Friday and Saturday nights, while the Colorado Rapids will have the state’s largest fireworks show on Sunday.
