A tortoise owner delighted followers when he shared a video of his pet reptile delighting in being given a hose shower.
Footage showed the large pet wiggling in delight as his owner – comic book writer Steve Niles – sprayed him with cooling water while outside.
The 15 second clip – accompanied with jaunty music – showed the animal blissfully wriggling around as the hose sprayed on it’s shell.
The tortoise appeared to move around to direct the water stream to hit the right spot as it was given, apparently and annual, outdoor bath.
Uploading the video to Twitter, Steve wrote: “That time of year again.”
Followers were entertained by the footage – with one asking: “Why do turtles do the cute butt wiggle when they get hosed?”
Owner Steve replied: “I think it just feels good. He loves it.”
While one follower commented: "This is the best thing I've seen all day! So adorable! He is shaking his cute turtle booty!"

Tortoise experts recommend owners wash the pets once a month to ensure they remain clean and healthy.
It is recommended to bathe the animals in water – but to avoid use of any soap or shampoo as they could be harmful to the reptiles.
