Lavrov claims West using ‘Nazism’ to solve ‘Russia question’ in sick comparison

One of Vladimir Putin's top men has likened the fight against Russia's invasion of Ukraine to the Holocaust by claiming that the West is using “Nazism” to solve its “Russia question”.

The term “Jewish Question” or “Jewish problem” was coined by Karl Marx in the late 1800s, but was made infamous by Adolf Hitler and his murderous Nazi army.

Germany's fascist ruling party introduced the “Final Solution to the Jewish question” as a way to exterminate all Jews in Europe.

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov – who has been forced to apologise for antisemtic remarks in the past – has now made the shocking claim that the West is using similar methods to Nazi Germany.

During a wide-ranging interview with Russian news agency TASS, he was asked about how the West has been dealing with Russia by using sanctions and supplying Ukraine with weapons etc.

He said: “The West seeks to make Russia suffer a lasting strategic defeat in Ukraine: "What is it if not racism, Nazism, and an attempt to find a solution to the ‘Russian question’?

“The majority of developing countries did not support the West’s position on Russia’s military operation, taking a more neutral stance: 'So please respect their neutrality'.

“Russia is working on a report to be issued by the first anniversary of the operation, which will not only concern US-run military biological laboratories in Ukraine and Washington’s direct involvement in the explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines.

“There is a need to recall many things and expose the methods that the US employs to achieve hegemony.”

The comments came around 10 months after President Vladimir Putin had to apologise for Lavrov's attitude to Jewish people and the Holocaust.

Originally, Lavrov said that “Hitler also had Jewish origins” in response to being asked how Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky could be a Nazi when he is Jewish.

This caused an outrage – especially in Israel – which saw Putin call Israel's then-Prime Minister Naftali Bennet to apologise.

Bennet said: “The Prime Minister accepted President Putin’s apology for Lavrov’s remarks and thanked him for clarifying the President’s attitude towards the Jewish people and the memory of the Holocaust.”

However, it appears that Lavrov was unfazed by the apology as he has made similar remarks once again.
