Lucky player now multi-millionaire as Brits told to check tickets for £4.1m win

One lucky Brit has bagged a whopping £4.1million in the National Lottery jackpot on Saturday.

The single ticket-holder has scooped the jackpot after the winning Lotto numbers were announced the weekend, making the Briton a multi-millionaire overnight.

The winning lottery number results were 43, 14, 28, 52, 13 and 16 – and the bonus number was 56.

The jackpot winner matched all six numbers to scoop £4,101,869, while another ticket-holder matched five balls plus the bonus to win £1,000,000.

A total of 54 ticket-holders matched five numbers to win £1,750 each, 4,062 ticket-holders matched four numbers to win £140, and 105,794 winners matched three numbers to scoop £30 each.

Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at The National Lottery, said: "What fantastic news for a single ticket-holder who has won tonight's amazing £4.1 million Lotto jackpot.

"This is the second lucky winner in a fortnight after one lucky player banked the £11 million Lotto jackpot on October 30.

"Players are being urged to check their tickets and to give us a call to claim this fantastic prize."

After tonight's big win, Wednesday's estimated jackpot is £2 million.

Meanwhile, no one matched all five numbers to win the £350,000 top prize in the Lotto HotPicks draw – which uses the same numbers as the Lotto main draw.

The winning Thunderball numbers were 27, 33, 16, 32 and 01 – and the Thunderball was 09.

There was no winner of the £500,000 top prize in the Thunderball game.

It comes after one Lotto winner didn't tell her husband she won £2m because she was concerned he would crash the car.

Andrea Law, 43, was in bed ill when she checked her account and at first, was so in shock, wasn't sure what to do.

"I was in bed poorly when I checked the ticket on my National Lottery online account. I looked at my phone and saw the incredible winning amount and just put it down – I didn’t know what to do, I was so shocked," she recalled.

Andrea added: "I didn’t tell Mike straight away as he had to drive and take the kids to school.

"He would have ended up in a hedge, daydreaming about the win if I had told him before he left! It felt like the longest journey ever as I waited for him to get home – and the kids’ school is only four minutes away!"

But when he got home she managed to tell him even though her hands were shaking – and he still didn't believe her when she showed him the proof.
