New mum Princess Eugenie leaves hospital with son and proud dad Jack Brooksbank

Princess Eugenie has left The Portland Hospital in central London with her newborn son and husband Jack Brooksbank.

Eugenie announced her pregnancy on Friday, September 25 2020 just two years shy of her second wedding anniversary in October.

On Tuesday 9th February 2021 Buckingham Palace confirmed the birth of the child, stating that Jack was present and the toddler weighed 8lbs 1oz.

The little family have now left hospital to begin their life together, with Jack steering the car as Eugenie sat with their new arrival in the back seat.

She was pictured glowing and smiled and waving to paparazzi outside of the medical centre with a black car seat next to her.

Eugenie’s son is the Queen’s ninth great grandchild and is 11th in line to the throne.

The couple announced the birth of the tot on Instagram, showing a black and white picture of them holding his tiny hand.

Her Majesty sent well wishes to the couple and was reportedly "delighted" at the news of the boy’s safe birth.

Prince Andrew, who is Eugenie’s dad, and Sarah Ferguson also sent their congratulations to their eldest daughter following the birth of their first grandchild.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, with whom Eugenie is reportedly close to, also sent their love to the couple, Hello! reported.

She was also flooded with messages of congratulations on her Instagram post, with the Duchess of Cambridges brother being among the first to comment.

He said: "Such wonderful news!"

The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) charity, which treated Princess Eugenie for the rare condition of scoliosis when she was 12, also wrote: "Congratulations to our Patron, HRH Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank on the birth of their baby boy.

"We are so delighted for you both and would like to wish you all the very best."

Lady Violet Diana Louise Manners, daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland liked the post, while Clarence House sent their well-wishes and wrote: "Congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank on the birth of their son."
