A child has allegedly died in a Peloton treadmill accident.
The company has told parents to keep children and pets away from their treadmills.
It warned in a statement: "While we are aware of only a small handful of incidents involving the Tread+ where children have been hurt, each one is devastating to all of us at Peloton, and our hearts go out to the families involved."
In a statement to The Sun, Peloton said: "There are no words to express the shock and sadness everyone at Peloton feels as a result of this terrible tragedy.
"Out of respect for the family and their privacy, we won’t be sharing any additional information."
Peloton has been contacted for comment by the Daily Star.
The Tread+ includes the signature Peloton screen, allowing users to follow training videos and virtual workouts.
The company's website says the price of its Tread starts at £2,995 and has a minimum age of 16 and weight range of 48kg to 136kg and goes up to 20kph.
It adds: "The Peloton Tread's dimensions are 173 cm L x 84 cm W x 157 cm H. Additionally, you should have at least 2m of clearance directly behind the Tread and 60 cm of clearance on each other side.
"The Tread deck can incline to a height of 40 cm. Make sure that the area above your Tread is free of obstructions and that the ceiling height is at least .5 m greater than the height of your tallest Tread user."
It comes after Peloton chief John Foley announced the New York-based company ramped up production by 700% over the past year.
Mr Foley added that supply of its exercise bikes was also close to meeting demand as the company took advantage of workers trying to stay fit at home during lockdown.
