Prince Harry to rush home and see Meghan ‘as soon as Philip’s funeral ends’

Prince Harry is likely to rush straight home after Prince Philip’s funeral, probably as soon as 24 hours after the interment, according to one royal expert.

Meghan Markle has remained in the couple’s nine-bedroomed £11.2 million property in Montecito, Santa Barbara because at over four months pregnant she has chosen not to make the 6,000-mile journey to London.

Prince Harry will be attending his grandfather’s funeral alone. Buckingham Palace has previously stated that the Duchess of Sussex had been "advised by her physician not to travel" because she is heavily pregnant.

Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty magazine and author of several books on the Royal Family, including My Husband and I and The Queen's Speech, believes The Duke of Sussex will be very keen to get back to his wife and son.

ExpressOnline quotes Seward who, speaking to Us Weekly, said: "I think for the period that Harry is here they will very much want to put their differences behind them.

"I think Harry will very much want to get back to Meghan as soon as the funeral is over.

"He will probably return to California maybe the next day or maybe later on Saturday."

Ms Seward, who has been commenting on the Royal Family for some 30 years, added: "He won't have a great deal of time to be in a potentially embarrassing situation with his family.

"There is no way they're not going to be anything other than absolutely charming to him and vice-versa.

The Duke of Sussex is currently self-isolating at Frogmore Cottage, where he once lived with Meghan prior to their move to Canada.

Harry is technically supposed to be self-isolating until after the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral on Saturday 17 April but is understood to be taking advantage of the government guidance which states: "You can leave your place of self-isolation in limited circumstances, including on compassionate grounds.
