When it comes to choosing baby names, the Royal Family tends to stick to tradition.
The most popular name for baby boys is Albert, while for girls it’s Victoria.
When a royal baby is born the family usually wait a few days before sharing the name they have picked with the public.
There are certain traditions that need to be followed before the public are told.
The main one is that the Queen needs to be informed first – and be happy with the choice.
It’s basically an “informal chat” where she gives her blessing.
Royal commentator Kate Williams explained to CNN: “The Queen has the power to say what their title is."
She added: “But in the case of names, it is more of an informal conversation.
“Of course they have such respect for the Queen that if she says ‘I really don’t like that name,’ they’d definitely take that into account.”
Although she has been quite happy with the current youngest generation of royals, George, Charlotte, Louis and Archie, the Queen hasn’t been quite as quick to accept all names.
