A royal biographer has claimed Princess Diana told her Camilla Parker Bowles wasn't to blame for her divorce to Prince Charles.
The People's Princess famously told Panorama in 1995 that "there were three people in the marriage" and it was getting a "bit crowded" – a reference to her husband’s affair with Camilla.
But royal expert Ingrid Seward said Diana told her that the Duchess of Cornwall was not the one who "ruined" her marriage.
The Majesty magazine Editor-in-chief told Nigel Farage on GB News that she was shocked when she first heard it from Diana.
The host said: "He [Prince Charles] does seem happy with Camilla, doesn't he? Genuinely."
She recalled her conversation with Diana and said: "She [Princess Diana] also said to me, which I could never quite work out, that 'it wasn't Camilla that ruined our marriage'.
"And I thought, 'what am I hearing?' She said it was 'the people around Prince Charles.
"'They are so sycophantic, they never say no to him, and that's what ruined our situation.' And I thought there's a big element of truth to that."

This came after a former royal press secretary alleged that the late Princess of Wales "never wanted to divorce" Prince Charles.
Dickie Arbiter, who served as the Queen’s press spokesman from 1988 until 2000, said Diana told him she didn't want a divorce on several occasions
He added: "Whether the Prince of Wales wanted one, I really don’t know as I would never have broached the subject with him.
"But the divorce wouldn’t have been as quick."
It comes as a new trailer was released for the highly-anticipated biographical movie Spencer – with Kristen Stewart taking on the role of the People's Princess.
In it, she braces herself for royal duties, including having dinner with the Royal Family and chillingly asks: "Will they kill me, do you think?"
