A teenage girl who was part of the group that nabbed Matt Hancock’s hat has told him to “come and get it” if he wants it back.
Georgia Lewis was out partying with her mates when they bumped into the former Health Secretary on the Tube on Saturday night at just after 9pm.
The 19-year-old filmed the group chanting Hancock’s name and dancing around him as they travelled to Camden.
Hancock spoke to the women and let them take selfies with him on the District line train carriage.
But as the group left the Tube, one of them grabbed his cap.
Now Georgia tells The Mirror : "If he wants his hat back he can come and get it. He's more than welcome to have it back. We don't want to steal it. We just wanted pictures in it.”
Georgia says the group feel bad for the theft but were just messing around.
She said: "He could have been identified for the rest of his journey. When we noticed him he kept his hat down, he didn't want to be noticed. Maybe that's why he had the hat and the mask on.

"We felt bad but it was just a laugh.”
The group met the Tory MP after enjoying some drinks for a mate’s 19th birthday.
Georgia initially mistook Mr Hancock for a man called 'Will', who she previously met at a weekly garden party in London.
"We ran after him to speak to him. I shouted 'Will, Will' and he turned around and said 'my name's Matt’.

"Instantly I clocked in my head he was Matt Hancock. I said 'that's Matt Hancock' and my friend said 'yes it is’.”
Georgia was so shocked she asked him “are you him”, prompting Hancock to reply “yes I am”.
She revealed one friend had brought up Hancock's affair with Gina Coladangelo, but that the politician had “zoned out”.
Following the night out, her TikTok video of the incident went viral and she has even sent Hancock a video of their encounter via Instagram, though he has not replied.
