At least 30 people have been killed in a mass shooting in a northeastern province of Thailand, local police confirmed. The incident occurred at a child daycare centre near the Uthai Sawan Subdistrict in Nong Bua Lamphu Province. Thai police have said the gunman in the mass shooting was an ex-police officer.
He is thought to have been driving a white four-door pickup truck.
So far, the death toll is at 31, with both children and adults being victims of the attack.
Earlier today, Deputy Police spokesperson Archon Kraitong said: “There are at least 20 dead but details were still coming in.”
