WWE star Drew McIntyre has left fans stunned after sharing pictures of his brutal injuries following his latest match.

The Scottish wrestler suffered a vicious beatdown at the hands of The Bloodline after beating Sami Zayn on Friday night.

McIntyre is next set to go in against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at Clash At The Castle on September 3.

However, after his win, the WWE star found himself facing an attack from the Tribal Chief, the Master Strategist and The Usos.

McIntyre fell to the numbers game and got attacked with steel chairs and the ring steps as the quartet were relentless.

Shortly after the show ended a photo of McIntyre’s body was posted on the official WWE Twitter – and it looks like agony.

The photos were accompanied by a simple caption stating "The aftermath.”

One person tweeted: “And they say wrestling ain’t real”.

Another simply said: “ouch”

“Appreciate the entertainment, but for real there's no need for this to happen on a standard smackdown show,” a third commented.

One fan shared photos of previous injuries the Scottish star had sustained on the job, captioning them: “Drew McIntyre: sacrificing his body since day 1. Drew deserves to be the new WWE champion”

However, not everyone was convinced the injuries were legitimate.

Some claimed that it was simply edited or makeup to fit into the script.
